Self Test

Now that you have worked through several examples where you saw how we can use a table to work though a mass balance problem, do you think you're ready for a little test of your ability?  The next problem you are going to see is just going to have the table and it's going to need to be filled in.  You won't be led through the problem nearly as much this time. However, you'll still use the same techniques that you've used on the previous examples:

1) Fill in the information given in the problem statement, including when you know that a flowrate of something is zero.

2) Use mass balances to move up and down in the columns.

3) Use mass fractions or compositions to move horizontally in rows.
