1 kg = 1000g

2.205 lb_m = 1 kg

MW_water = 0.03969lb_m/lb-mol

r_water = 1 g H₂O/1 mL H₂O

Solution:

As with many unit conversion problems, there are multiple ways to solve this. I took the number of grams of water in an 8 oz. cup (from example 2.a.4) and converted it to pounds. Then I used the MW of water to find the number of lb-mol. Your method may look different, but as long as the answer is the same, you're OK.
