Converting Mass to Volume

  • Problem Statement:

  • The specific gravity of lard is 0.96. How many gallons would a bucket have to hold to contain 200 lbm of lard?

    Solution:

In order to find the number of pints, you have to first find the number of gallons used by multiplying the number of miles traveled by the number of miles per gallon. Then you must use the conversion from pints to gallons to determine the total number of pints used.
