Volume Conversion Example

  • Problem Statement:

  • Joe's Camaro gets 11 miles/gallon. If Joe wants to go to the monster truck rally in Chandler 90 miles away, how many pints of gas must he use to get there?

    Solution:

In order to find the number of pints, you have to first find the number of gallons used by multiplying the number of miles traveled by the number of miles per gallon. Then you must use the conversion from pints to gallons to determine the total number of pints used.
